What to expect when you buy an import through TrigDrive — costs, timeline, and the rules that apply.
A specific vehicle we've already sourced and can confirm — you see real photos, the actual origin country, and an all-in price before you commit.
Tell us the make, model, and budget you want and we'll search our network abroad. We confirm availability and pricing before anything is purchased on your behalf.
Every import listing shows a breakdown of what you're actually paying before duty: the vehicle price, and shipping cost, both included in the total shown. Where a Certificate of Conformance fee applies (see below), that's itemized too.
⚠️ Duty & taxes are always shown as an estimate, not a quote. Ghana Customs (GRA) sets the final amount at clearance based on the vehicle's assessed value, age, and current rates — it can come in higher or lower than the estimate on the listing. We give you our best estimate up front so there are no surprises, but the number that matters legally is the one GRA issues at the port.
Ghana's vehicle import rules changed meaningfully in 2026, and we build every import listing around them:
These rules can change or be interpreted differently at the port. We recommend confirming current requirements with a licensed clearing agent before finalizing a purchase, especially for higher-value vehicles.
Once you confirm an order, you can track it in real time — every stage from sourcing to delivery, with dates and notes as we update it. Typical stages include order confirmation, purchase, documentation and export clearance, the CoC inspection where it applies, shipping, arrival at port, customs clearance, and delivery or pickup.
Is the duty estimate guaranteed?
No. It's our best estimate based on the specific vehicle, but GRA sets the final figure at clearance. We flag this clearly everywhere a duty estimate appears.
How do I pay?
To pay, contact us directly via WhatsApp or a phone call and we'll coordinate with you to proceed — there's no online payment on the site.
What if my desired car is right-hand-drive?
We can't import it under current Ghanaian rules. If you're set on a specific make and model, ask us — we may be able to source a confirmed left-hand-drive export unit instead.
What happens if a rule changes after I've ordered?
We'll contact you directly. Import regulation is outside our control, so if something changes mid-order that affects your vehicle, we'll walk you through the options rather than surprise you at the port.
